AML Policy
Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing policy of Casinox.
Scope
This policy applies to every player, partner and employee. It is based on FATF Recommendations and the AML/CFT framework of the jurisdiction where Casinox is licensed.
The Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) has authority and resources to investigate any concern raised internally or externally.
Customer due diligence (KYC)
Verification is risk-based. You may be asked for documents at registration, before withdrawal, or whenever your activity changes risk profile.
Tier 0 — Unverified
Email confirmed. Lifetime withdrawals capped at ,000 equivalent.
Tier 1 — Basic KYC
Government ID + selfie. Lifetime withdrawals capped at ,000.
Tier 2 — Enhanced
Proof of address + source of funds. Unlimited withdrawals subject to ongoing monitoring.
Transaction monitoring
Every transaction — deposit, internal swap, internal transfer, wager and withdrawal — is screened in real time by the AML engine. The engine evaluates the user's profile, transaction history, on-chain provenance, peer-cluster behaviour and a broad set of structured- and unstructured-data risk signals. Alerts are graded green, amber or red. Green transactions are auto-released. Amber transactions are reviewed by the AML team. Red transactions are blocked, escalated to the MLRO and, where appropriate, made the subject of an SAR.
Where a withdrawal is blocked pending AML review, the user is informed that the withdrawal is under review without disclosing the specific factors that triggered the review. We do not, and will not, tip off any user about an active investigation or an SAR. We may freeze the affected balance for the period required to complete the investigation and to consult with our regulator. Where the investigation concludes that the funds are clean, the withdrawal is released. Where it concludes that the funds are tainted, the funds may be reported, frozen, surrendered to the competent authority or returned to the origin, as required by law.
- Rapid deposit followed by minimal play and immediate withdrawal.
- Structuring — multiple deposits or withdrawals just below reporting thresholds.
- Use of mixing services or wallets associated with known darknet markets.
- Inconsistent IP geolocation versus declared country of residence.
Sanctions screening
We screen players against UN, OFAC, EU and UK sanctions lists at onboarding and continuously. Matches result in account suspension pending review.
We do not accept players from FATF "black-listed" jurisdictions.
Suspicious activity reporting
When a transaction or pattern meets the threshold of "suspicious activity", the MLRO files a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) with the competent Financial Intelligence Unit.
Filing a SAR is legally confidential — we cannot tell you whether a SAR has been filed about your account ("tipping-off" prohibition).
We retain transactional records for at least 5 years after account closure as required by law.
Staff training
All staff with player-facing or financial responsibilities complete annual AML/CFT training, with refresher modules whenever regulations change.
